The décor is «Submerged Cabin.» Think wood beams, porthole windows, and booths that feel like you’re inside a very sturdy barrel. It’s warm, it’s cozy, and it doesn’t require a tie.

The Kitchen is famous for its «Cove Chowder,» which is thick enough to stand a spoon in and contains enough butter to clog a medium-sized pipe. It’s the kind of place where you go to hide from the world, eat your weight in sourdough bread, and listen to the rain hit the surface of the water above you.

Everything at the Cove is served «Family Style,» which is just a polite way of saying «Prepare to fight your siblings for the last shrimp.» Huge platters are placed in the middle of the table, and it’s every man for himself. It’s a great way to build community, or to realize that your best friend has much faster reflexes than you do when it comes to fried oysters.
